About Macmillan coffee mornings...

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 28th September is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. We ask people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone we raised over £27 million and together we can make this another successful year.

Our ambition

We understand how cancer can affect people’s whole lives – health, money, family, job; everything. And, after more than 100 years of caring, we understand that the most important thing is to treat people as individuals, not patients.

So we take the time to understand the support people need to live their lives as fully as they can. From the moment of diagnosis and whenever we’re most needed, we’re here to help people find their best way through. Our help is totally focused on each individual person, so everyone receives the support that’s best for them.

NT Live - King Lear

NT Live - King Lear

NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE

Broadcast live from London’s West End, this new production stars Ian McKellen in an ‘extraordinarily moving portrayal’ (Independent) of King Lear. Considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written, King Lear sees two ageing fathers – one a king, the other his courtier – reject the children who truly love them.  Their blindness unleashes a tornado of pitiless ambition and treachery, as family and state are plunged into a violent power struggle with bitter ends.
