DEMENTIA FRIENDLY SCREENING
We are holding a dementia-friendly screening of Calamity Jane on Tuesday 22nd May at 2pm.
Dementia-friendly screenings enable people living with dementia and their carers to attend the cinema in a safe and comfortable environment, giving them the chance to get out and socialise.
Screenings are open to everyone, but are enhanced to suit the needs of people living with dementia:
PLEASE NOTE - There will be an interval half way through the film and complimentary teas and coffees will be served.
Tickets are £5 each with free admission for carers.
Doors open at 1.30pm and the film starts at 2pm.
The staff on duty for these screenings have become 'Dementia Friends' to help provide support before, during and after the screenings, as well as making our venue generally more dementia- friendly.
The incredible story of amateur sailor Donald Crowhurst and his solo attempt to circumnavigate the globe. The struggles he confronted on the journey while his family awaited his return is one of the most enduring mysteries of recent times.
