Join The Forum Big Band and special guests for this marathon Jazz Swing event from 12noon until 6pm.
Feel free to come for one hour or the whole thing - the choice is yours!
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Cancer Centre, to be built at The Friarage Hospital. Costing £10 million this will be a state of the art facility for patients, carers and relatives.

The Forum Big Band
The Forum Big Band is made up of professional musicians who enjoy coming together to reproduce the fabulous music that was generated during an era that was arguably the most exciting artistic development in entertainment of the 20th Century.
The Band has an extensive repertoire and keeps audiences entertained by playing the hits first brought to us by the heroes of the Big Band era such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and many, many others.
The Alf Hind Big Band
The AH Big Band is from Darlington and entertain audiences with a traditional Big Band repertoire including the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington and many, many more.
The Band is led by Alf’s son Nigel and they have a reputation for always giving a professional performance to their audiences whenever they play.
The Big Band Theory
Presenting modern songs with a vintage swing twist, The Big Band Theory is one of the most exciting acts on the modern big band scene.
Expect the unexpected and be prepared to let the band take you to new places with music from Van Halen to The Killers, Oasis to Bobby Darin, choreography and audience participation, there is something for everyone!
Northallerton Music Centre Swing Band
‘Mood Swings’ are a group of extremely talented 11-18 year old students who get together for 2 hours on a Saturday morning to rehearse traditional swing classics and contempory chart hits under the guidance of their Musical Director Alan Owens.
The Band performs regularly around the area in their end of term concerts, at Charity events and for the last few years have had the pleasure of performing at The North Yorkshire Show.
