Northallerton Music Centre return to The Forum for their Easter Concert. Their senior ensembles will perform a variety of music for you to enjoy.
The concert will also recognise the many years of service that 13 students have given as they approach the end of their full time education and prepare for University. Many of these students will feature in the concert.

Come and join the Musical Theatre Company for a nostalgic journey through a hundred years of music and song starting in 1918 with the end of World War One.
We will then visit the Roaring 20's, the Thirties and into the Second World War years, a nod to the 50's and rock n' roll, followed by the Beatles, Cliff Richard, Cilla then right up to the present day with Les Miserables, Miss Saigon and much much more.
Directed by our NODA Award Winning Director Andrea Atkinson and music by Geoff Foxall, this is definitely one not to be missed.
Matthew Ford returns to the Forum for a third time to perform alongside the Forum Big Band.
In 2006 Matthew was voted 'Best UK Male Big Band Vocalist' and nominated alongside Jamie Cullum in the inaugural Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Awards (Best UK Male Vocalist category).
As a soloist Matthew makes regular appearances with the RTE and BBC Concert Orchestras, and has also worked with the Northern Sinfonia, City of Birmingham Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Halle and Philharmonia Orchestras. Matthew has been invited to perform for both domestic and international royalty.
In 2009 Matthew broadcast with the BBC Big Band for the 30th Anniversary of BBC Radio 2’s ‘Big Band Special’ programme. 2010 saw Matthew invited to join the cast of ‘Singing in the Rain’ for the first ever concert performance of the original film score, reconstructed by John Wilson and performed at Festival Hall and in 2011 Matthew recorded at Abbey Rd Studios for EMI Classics on the album ‘That’s Entertainment’. The album is a celebration of the MGM musicals and was released to critical acclaim in August 2011.
A second appearance at the BBC Proms, in 'Hollywood Rhapsody', was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and later on BBC Four. 2013 also included a UK tour with the John Wilson Orchestra, and appearances with the Halle Orchestra. Matt has also performed in concert with celebrated BBC Radio 2 jazz star Clare Teal, the Halle Orchestra, and the RTE Concert Orchestra, broadcasting with the latter on RTE radio.
Matt completed the year with a nationwide tour, an award-winning live album recording (from the Royal Abert Hall) with the JWO, and a sold out performance celebrating Frank Sinatra's 100th Birthday with the London Concert Orchestra at The Royal Festival Hall.

The Forum Big Band is a traditional 19 piece band including vocalists who specialise in providing live music for any occasion.
The Band is made up of professional musicians, experienced amateurs and talented students from North Yorkshire and the North East area who enjoy coming together to reproduce the fabulous music that was generated during an era that was arguably the most exciting artistic development in entertainment of the 20th Century.
The Band has an extensive repertoire and keeps audiences entertained by playing the hits first brought to us by the heroes of the Big Band era such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra and many, many others.
The Band also enjoys performing new arrangements of modern day hits that have been especially written for the Band.
In recent years the Band has had the pleasure to perform at a number of Charity concerts around the Country as well as with guest soloists Matthew Ford and Mark Nightingale.
Reg Vardy have been North of England Brass Band Champions 35 times and are listed in the top 20 of the World Brass Band rankings. Based in Stanley, the band are renowned for giving high quality concerts of new, original music, alongside the more traditional brass band repertoire.
